IT Training

 WEDNESDAYS - 11:00am to 1:00pm

An informal introduction to the world of information technology (IT) and computing for beginners. Over the ten week course, you will learn basic word processing skills to help you plan, draft and edit professional looking documents. Develop your own IT knowledge, whether for personal enjoyment, study or prospective employment.

 

ESOL Classes (English as a Second or Other Language)

- ENGLISH (ENTRY LEVEL 2) - WEDNESDAYS 1:30pm to 3:30pm

- ENGLISH (BEGINNERS) - WEDNESDAYS 5:00pm to 7:00pm

- ENGLISH (ENTRY LEVEL 3 AND HIGHER) - THURSDAYS 1:30pm to 3:30pm

- ENGLISH (BEGINNERS) - THURSDAYS 5:00pm to 7:00pm

ESOL is a ten week course for those who wish to improve their English. The scheme covers speaking and listening, reading and writing, vocabulary and grammar.

Learners develop their English language skills through activities that enable them to:

* understand and participate in UK society

* access services

* become familiar with British laws and customs

* progress in the labour market

* access further education and training

* support their children's education

 

Mentoring Skills (level 2)

THURSDAYS 7:00pm to 9:00pm (7 week course)

A seven week course that provides relevant structured training sessions for that will enable you to become a Agorid Cymru qualified mentor. The topics covered address issues such as communication skills, problem-solving skills and conflict resolution. Most importantly, mentors learn to see and meet the needs of their mentees through structured training. If it is not possible for you to reach us, we also offer on-site mentor training, primarily to groups or other organisations. For more information, contact us here.

Positive Parenting (level 2)

Admission: Free

A six week course that aims to improve relationships within the family, and improve the confidence of adults as parents. The scheme offers guidance to parents on how to communicate with and better understand their children. Positive Parenting is accredited by Agorid Cymru, leading to a Level 2 Certificate.
