During the annual Women’s Empowerment Conference in Birmingham, the 2006 Sojourner Truth Award was presented to Madge Thomas by the director of Women’s Ministries in recognition of:

* outstanding services to the Church and community

* forging unity in diversity

* exceptional qualities in the area of training and development

* exceptional personal achievement in the service of others

The Scarman Trust- People's Millenium Award - Winner, 2000

The award was presented to Madge Thomas in Cardiff. The Scarman Trust is a national charity committed to funding and giving practical assistance to citizens bringing about change in their community.
